  • Isabel is a 2L at NYU Law from San Francisco, California. At the University of California, Santa Barbara, she studied Political Science and Communication. After graduating, she worked as a paralegal in complex civil litigation. Isabel is the co-chair of the Social Enterprise & Startup Law Group and a Staff Editor on the Journal of Law & Business. Isabel's interest in startups and social enterprises stems from her origins in San Francisco, as well as from a personal passion for environmentalism and using modern structures to tackle environmental and climate issues. Isabel interned at GreenPortfolio during her 1L summer, a startup providing algorithmic assessments of investment portfolios for different climate metrics and suggesting greener alternatives. Isabel will be joining Proskauer Rose LLP as a 2025 summer associate in their New York office. Outside of law school, Isabel enjoys running, hiking, and camping. 

  • Josh Badzik, a Cincinnati, Ohio native, graduated summa cum laude from The Ohio State University with dual degrees in Economics and Public Policy Analysis. Josh is committed to pursuing a career in international transactional law, where he aims to bridge complex legal frameworks across borders. He also has an interest in entrepreneurship and social enterprise, aspiring to integrate innovative business solutions with legal expertise. As a 1L summer fellow in NYU Law's Entrepreneurship & Venture Capital Program, Josh gained hands-on experience at a biotech startup in the Bay Area, navigating the intersection of law and emerging technologies. He will be joining McDermott, Will & Emery as a summer associate in their New York office, where he looks forward to further developing his knowledge of corporate law.

  • Sam was born and raised in Los Angeles. She graduated from Stanford University with a major in Engineering Physics and a minor in Theater and Performance Studies. Prior to law school, she worked at several early-stage venture capital firms, including SVB Capital and Techstars, and led marketing for a fintech startup. She continues to mentor startups and to create resources for first-time and underrepresented founders, particularly on TikTok. As a 1L, she worked at DLA Piper in their Intellectual Property & Technology Group. She will be spending her 2L at Goodwin, continuing to support technology startups as they establish and grow. In her free time, she enjoys dancing, going to shows, solving puzzles, and cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles.

  • Jeremy is from Frisco, Texas and is in his 2L year. He attended New York University for undergrad, where he obtained a B.A. in Politics and wrote a Senior Honors Thesis on Voter ID laws. Between undergrad and law school, he worked as an investment banker at J.P. Morgan, primarily focusing on investment grade bonds. For his 1L summer, he was a summer associate at Skadden, which is where he will spend his 2L summer. In addition to SE-SL, Jeremy is a Staff Editor on the New York University Law Review and a member of BALSA. In his free time, he enjoys reading, playing video games, producing hip hop beats, going on runs, and solving Rubik's cubes. 

  • Elizabeth grew up in Toledo, Ohio and moved to Washington, D.C. to study government and English at Georgetown University, with a minor in women's and gender studies. She worked in publications for an educational startup during and after undergrad, and she spent last summer interning with The L Suite (formerly TechGC). She’s now a 2L and a social chair for Law Women and for First-Generation Professionals. She is also a staff editor for Law Review and is participating in the Police Accountability Clinic this year. Elizabeth enjoys reading, drawing, fashion, and playing piano. She is planning to work in transactional law after graduation. 

  • Isaiah grew up in Camden County, New Jersey and earned a B.A. in German Literature and Cultural History from Columbia University. He is a J.D. candidate in the Class of 2026 and is interested in emerging companies and venture capital, as well as social entrepreneurship and impact investing. Before law school, Isaiah worked as a legal analyst for TFG Asset Management, a London-based, alternative asset management platform, where he worked on hedge fund and private equity fund transactions as well as corporate governance matters. Prior to that, he worked as a corporate legal assistant in the Frankfurt office of Sullivan & Cromwell. Isaiah has also participated in the Rising Tide program, a partnership between SE-SL and the law firm Lowenstein Sandler, which provides pro bono legal services to under-resourced entrepreneurs.

  • Richmond is originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma, but grew up mostly in Shanghai, China. Moving to North Carolina, he graduated magna cum laude from Davidson College, where he majored in Economics and minored in English. Prior to law school, he worked in the nonprofit space in Charlotte, looking to enhance economic mobility through data-driven strategies and advocacy efforts. Richmond’s dedication to supporting organizations with social missions has fueled his interest in seeking to provide crucial access and legal resources to new social enterprises and start-ups. For his 1L summer, Richmond worked as a legal intern at The Mellon Foundation, working on a variety of in-house projects. Next summer, Richmond will be working in New York as a summer associate at Milbank LLP. In his free time, Richmond enjoys singing in NYU Law’s acapella group, playing the French Horn, and playing pick-up basketball.

  • Andy is from Beijing, China, and he attended the University of Washington where he majored in Finance and Philosophy. He is a KJD and currently a 2L. In addition to SE-SL, he is a Tepper Research Fellow at the Grunin Center. He can also be found hooping and trying out dessert bars in New York City. After law school, Andy plans to be an emerging companies and venture capital attorney in the short run and found his own startup in the long term.

  • Dai An grew up in Denver, Colorado and studied Bioengineering at UCLA. Prior to law school, she worked for 2 years at a medical devices company in operations engineering, medical regulatory affairs, and R&D roles. Dai An is interested in pursuing a career in intellectual property law with a focus on supporting biotech startups. For her 1L summer, Dai An worked as a summer associate at Morrison Foerster, doing IP litigation in Palo Alto. She will be returning to Morrison Foerster next summer. In her free time, Dai An enjoys skiing, watching cooking competition shows, and scrapbooking.
